What was really going on under that floor
The HVAC ducts under this house were sweating, and all that condensation did extensive damage to the floor. There were two layers of plywood, and fungal growth had grown right through both of them.
So all of the subflooring had to be replaced. To get below the HVAC unit and the kitchen cabinets, the crew pulled them out, rebuilt the floor underneath with new framing and new subfloor, then put the new floor down and reinstalled everything.
